KSAA Conferences The 6th KSAA Biennial Conference will be held on 8-10 July, 2009 at the University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The Organising Committee of the 6th KSAA Conference is calling for papers now. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 20th December, 2008. For details, please visit the conference website. The 5th KSAA Biennial Conference was held on 12-13, July 2007 at the Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. The conference theme was "Enlightening Korea: Converging or Diverging". Full conference proceedings (PDF; 8,729KB) The 4th KSAA Biennial Conference was held on July 14-15, 2005 at the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand. The conference theme was "Intellectual Engagements with Korea: Diversity in Korean Studies in Australasia". The 3rd KSAA Biennial Conference was held on 30 June - 1 July 2003 at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. About seventy members attended the conference from Australia, New Zealand, UK, the US and Korea. The conference proceedings were published entitled Korea: Language, Knowledge and Society. The first World Congress of Korean Studies was held in July 2002, co-organized by the Korean Studies Association of Australasia (KSAA), the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS), the International Society for Korean Studies (ISKS), and Association for Korean Studies in Europe (AKSE). The 2nd KSAA Biennial Conference was held at Monash University during 24 - 25 September 2001. Over ninety members attended the conference from Australia, New Zealand, UK, the USA and Korea. The conference proceedings were published entitled, Korean Studies at the Dawn of the Millennium. Most papers presented at the conference are available on-line. The 1st KSAA Biennial Conference was held at the University of New South Wales on 27 - 28 September 1999. Sixty-two members attended the conference from Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Korea. The conference proceedings were published entitled, Linking Korea and Australasia for the New Century. |
